Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame

The Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame, Inc., a non-profit corporation, founded in 1995, is organized for the following purposes: to create and sponsor a sports Hall of Fame for the Chattahoochee Valley, Columbus, Georgia, Phenix City, Alabama, and Fort Benning, Georgia and; to honor and recognize outstanding athletes and citizens associated with athletics from these areas.

The affairs of the Corporation are managed by a Board of Directors from which officers are selected in various positions.

The "Hall of Fame" is located in the west wing of the Columbus Civic Center where the memorabilia of inductees is on display in a 3,500 square foot area.

Nominations for consideration for selection may be made only by members of the "Hall of Fame" committee. The maximum number of final nominees to be voted on for induction shall be:

The induction of those individuals selected to the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame occurs during a banquet held on a designated evening in February of each year. The number of inductees is usually five (5); however, the number may be increased by way of an additional ballot, approved by the selection committee.

Anyone desiring to submit the name(s) of a qualified candidate may do so by mailing an introductory letter, along with a candidate profile to the:
