Auburn University Hockey

August 20, 2010 - Auburn University is launching a club hockey program and will compete in the upcoming 2010-2011 season as a member of the SECHC and ACHA Division III.

Mike Robinson has been named the head coach of the team that will play at Columbus Civic Center. Once construction on the new, yet to be named ice rink, located next to the Civic Center, is completed in early 2011, it will officially become the home ice of Auburn University Hockey.

This season, Auburn will be considered an affiliate member of the West Division of the SECHC and will not be eligible for a playoff spot in the post-season tournament. The team's games will still count towards the American Collegiate Hockey Conference South Regional Rankings. The team is still in the process of working on this season’s schedule.
